“You CAN have your cake and eat it too, thanks to Salesforce and Veruna.”
Hopkinton, Mass. (January 3, 2019) – In preparation for the new year, insurance agencies must keep an eye on the ever-changing industry and the advancing technology that comes with it. Although this technology brings greater efficiency gains and cost savings, particularly with management systems, it can be difficult to change a platform that’s been used for decades. Here at Veruna, we live and breathe insurance technology and are excited to announce another great review from a newly onboarded customer, Mayflower Insurance, which was launched on the Veruna platform in December 2018. A re-vamped Journey process assisted in the successful implementation of their agency. As we move into 2019, with new clients comes added feedback on both our onboarding process as well as the product functionality, paving the way for future agencies to flourish with an advanced solution.
Here is what Ashish Vaja CIC,TRS of Mayflower Insurance Services had to say:
“You CAN have your cake and eat it too, thanks to Salesforce and Veruna. Over the past 4 years, our agency has had 3 different management systems. We have used AgencyMatrix, QQ, and Vertafore. Not one of them were not able to meet the needs of our agency, to put it mildly. The worst thing is that, except for Agency Matrix, you will probably have to pay with a pound of flesh when you want to change your management system. Salesforce, combined with Veruna, is not just a replacement for what you are currently using, but it is a revolution! This is my call to action, for all insurance agents, to say enough is enough and take back control of your data.
Making the switch will force you to change the way you think about processes and workflows. I encourage you to really grind that in to your people, if you make the switch. It can take time getting used to the thought of, “I can’t do it this way, because that’s how our management system wants it done” Instead, they need to learn to think: “This is my problem, this is our workflow, and I need to be able to do the following.” Your Salesforce admin or a consultant will then make it happen. Veruna will also give you many opportunities along the way to help build out these customizations.
Take a moment and look at Salesforce the way that you look at your Android or Apple cell phone. Smartphones can install almost anything you want, they are literally miniature versions of your computer. Think of all the apps you have installed through the Play Store or App Store. Your phone is no longer just a phone it is a so much more. In fact, we can go one step further and say that they are entire ecosystems that live in your pocket, because of app stores. Does your phone look like your child’s phone? Or have they completely customized the look, feel, sound, and everything else?
Salesforce is like your smartphone, it is a blank smart canvas that has built a massive ecosystem around it. Salesforce has an enormous app store, like your phone. With Salesforce, each person in your agency can customize their layout, processes, and more! I know it sounds too good to be true, and Salesforce has one glaring problem, which is that it is completely customizable.
The greatest strength of Salesforce is also its greatest weakness. It is so customizable that without a large budget, customizing it can be very costly and out of reach for most insurance agencies. Veruna is the set of customizations and tools specific to the insurance world that lives within the Salesforce ecosystem. They have done most of the heavy lifting for you, and they have done it very well. One of the most beautiful things about the Salesforce system is the fact that if you find that Veruna is not working for you, then you can switch to another insurance app and make the transition. You are in control, not them.
I have only good things to say about Veruna. Every aspect of my dealings with them was incredible. In fact, they remind me a lot of Rackspace, one of my favorite cloud vendors. The level of support you receive is nothing less than fanatical. No, they obviously cannot be there at your every beckoned call, but make everything else I have used in the insurance industry look obselete. As agent’s we are being squeezed from every angle. There is a massive disruption coming in our industry and you do not want to be caught flat footed when it gets here. It is going to be like having a bad quarterback leading your team through one disaster after another and I know many of you already feel like that. Why not give a multi-faceted, highly dynamic system, like Patrick Mahome’s, a shot? Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. With everything that Veruna has done for us, the least I can do is return the favor to them.”
